“Oh Fabulous!” Announcing Riverside’s February 50/50 Winner
February 24, 2026
Riverside Health Care is pleased to
announce that Neal Webb of Fort Frances is the winner of the February 50/50
jackpot, taking home $13,390.
When he received the call that he
had won, his response was simple and joyful: “Oh fabulous!”
But for Neal, the excitement isn’t
just about the prize -it’s about what it means for local families. “It will
make such a big difference for the community,” he said, referring to
Riverside’s Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS! Campaign, “Especially for those
who have to travel now for tests. It’s a good cause!”
A familiar face to our Fundraising
Department, Neal purchases his tickets in person each month at La Verendrye
General Hospital(LVGH). In fact, before even accepting his winnings, he made
sure to buy his tickets for March, continuing his monthly tradition of
supporting Riverside and health care right here at home.
With more than $100,000 in winnings already awarded, the Riverside 50/50 continues to build meaningful
momentum. Funds raised directly support the purchase of a new MRI and upgraded
digital X-ray units at Rainy River Health Centre and LVGH.
Holly Kaemingh, Director of
Fundraising, says the growing support speaks volumes about the community.
“Every month we celebrate a winner, but we also celebrate what this community
is accomplishing together,” said Kaemingh. “We are so thankful for
everyone who buys tickets, especially supporters like Neal who stop in, say
hello, and remind us that this is about people. It’s about neighbours helping
neighbours. It’s about strengthening care right here at home, for families
today and for generations to come.”

With his March tickets already in
hand, Neal added with a grin that it “sure would be something” if he won twice
in a row.
It could happen.
But the real win? Every ticket
purchased helps bring advanced diagnostic care closer to home - reducing
travel, easing stress for families, and strengthening services for our entire
community.
Neal has already secured his chances
for March. Have you?
