Mental health is as critical to our overall health and wellness. Riverside Health Care offers holistic community-based programs and services to support community members through challenging times and can connect individuals to the services they need.

Preventative and educational measures are an important focus. Our system navigator can help our community members during their health-care journey. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals includes nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, occupational therapists, family practice physicians, and psychiatrists.

Riverside Health Care's Emergency Departments at La Verendrye General Hospital and Rainy River Health Centre also provide acute services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Crisis Response Service

The Crisis Response Service is a community based crisis support program for individuals 16 and older experiencing a mental health crisis. We provide immediate assessment, intervention, referrals and followup for individuals, their families and friends. Trained professionals are available on the toll-free crisis line 24/7 at 1-866-888-8988, ready to provide support. All calls are treated with confidentiality, dignity and respect.
