Medically Stable Patient Transport

Medically Stable Patient Transport (MSPT) provides an affordable transportation option for residents in the Rainy River District who experience mobility challenges and need a ride to and from medical/social wellness appointments. MSPT can transport individuals who require wheelchair or stretcher service, and is a subsidized service with affordable rates based on location.

This service is intended for medically stable patients only. For Urgent/Emergent transports, please use EMS.

Hours

MSPT is available seven days a week from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Call the MSPT driver at (807) 271-0650 to inquire about availability or to schedule transport. Calls will only be answered during MSPT hours. If left after hours, voicemails and texts will be returned during the next MSPT shift.

Fees

Fees are calculated based on one-way trips; return trips are double the listed price. If your community is not listed, the fee can be calculated by the driver at time of booking. All transports must be paid for at time of patient pick-up, or ahead of time through cash or cheque. Direct billing may be available for allied agencies through the finance department at (807) 274-4805.
