Temporary Closure of Rainy River Health Centre Emergency Department

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Emergency Department at the Rainy River Health Centre is closed effective immediately and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026.

During this time, all emergencies will be routed through La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1.

The closest Emergency Departments to the Rainy River Health Centre are:

• Lake of the Woods District Hospital
21 Sylvan Street W., Kenora, ON
