Statement on Donor Recognitions

At Riverside, we take our responsibility to steward donor dollars very seriously. For 84 years, this community has continued to amaze us with its generosity and commitment to local health care.

We would like to address recent comments regarding the Riverside Foundation for Health Care’s digital donor recognition boards, which they have located at four of our sites. After careful consideration, we decided to temporarily turn these screens off.

The content on the boards had not been maintained or updated. As generosity has continued to grow in recent months, we were unable to recognize donors in a timely and equitable way. In addition, the boards were displaying outdated raffle information and QR codes that were no longer active -  something we heard concerns about from several community members, patients, and visitors.

Our Director of Fundraising has already been exploring new, dynamic, and cost-efficient platforms that will allow us to recognize past and future donors in a way that is current, accurate, and fair to everyone who chooses to support Riverside’s programs and facilities.

We appreciate the community’s ongoing support as we work toward a refreshed and reliable donor recognition system.
