The
Administration department has an opening for a Full-Time Administrative
Assistant. The successful candidate must be able to meet the normal
requirements of the job and possess the following qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
NECESSARY:
• Post-secondary education in a related field or
equivalent related educational qualifications deemed acceptable by the
Employer;
• Three (3) years of relevant experience working in an
office setting;
• Dependable, competent and continued ability to carry
out responsibilities;
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective
working relationships with others;
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication,
presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and
function effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment with changing
priorities and deadlines;
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills in MS Office
applications, including MS Word, and Excel, policy databases, and internet and
email with the willingness to learn new software as required;
• Effective communication, problem solving, team
building, conflict resolution, and decision making skills;
• Ability to manage change, build effective
relationships and work productively in a team environment;
• Ability to function independently, have flexibility,
personal integrity, organizational and time management skills;
• Dependable with a verifiable acceptable attendance
record;
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for
providing general administrative support within the Administration department.
This position will perform general office tasks, provide support to meetings
and offer coverage for the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and
Executive Assistant to the Senior Team.
This role will also manage the organization of
policies, procedures and forms across the organization using a policy database.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1 . Perform general office duties such as ordering
supplies, entering time keeping, and organizing files;
2 . Prepare memos, reports, letters and other
documents using word processing, spreadsheets, databases or presentation
software;
3 . Schedule and attend meetings, providing
administrative support by recording meeting minutes, preparing agendas;
4 . File and retrieve corporate documents, records
and reports;
5 . Open, sort and distribute incoming
correspondence, including faxes, email and letter mail;
6 . Organize, maintain and facilitate online
database for corporate policies, procedures and forms;
7 . Provide backup coverage for essential tasks
assigned to the Senior Team
8 . Other duties as assigned
Hours of Work:
• This Full Time position (37.5 hours/week)
required to work Monday to Friday (08:00-16:00)
Position Available:
• The Full Time Position will Commence : ASAP
