The Maintenance department has an
opening for a Casual Summer Grounds Keeper (Student) position. The successful
candidate must be able to meet the normal requirements of the job and possess
the following qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
§ Must have lawn tractor experience;
§ Must be 15 years of age or older;
§ Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision;
§ Organizational skills;
§ Priority setting skills;
§ Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills;
§ Demonstrated strong interpersonal skill with the ability to
function effectively, independently, within a team, with frontline personnel
and management;
§ Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast paced
healthcare environment with excellent organizational and time management skills
with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload;
§ Dependable with a verifiable acceptable attendance record;
§ Proven ability to perform the essential duties of the position on
a regular basis.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To provide seasonal assistance to
the maintenance department.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Grass cutting
2. Shrub pruning
3. Whipper snipping
4. Grounds cleaning
5. Snow removal
6. Deals tactfully and courteously
with residents and families, visitors, staff and contractors.
7. Other miscellaneous duties as
directed.
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:
§ This position may be required to work days, evenings, and weekends
§ Current assignment is 8 hour shifts, days evenings, weekends
possible
RESPONSIBLE TO:
This Casual position is responsible to
the Manager, Maintenance.
